We meet on the first Monday of each month at the Shepherd of the Sierra Presbyterian Church on Barton Road in Loomis.
Because of "first Monday" holidays we have no meeting in July, and our September meeting is actually the last Monday in August. We snack and socialize beginning at about 6:30 pm and our meeting starts at 7:00. (Here’s a list of our Snack Hostesses.)
Our membership is limited to 175. We maintain a waiting list for prospective members if needed. Our membership application (for both new and renewing members) is on our forms page. Members are expected to support the activities of the Guild by voluntary service to the Guild, such as participation in fund-raising activities, serving on committees, assisting in community service projects, and attending a minimum of 5 meetings per year.
ABOUT US
BLOCK OF THE MONTH
Each month a new pattern is presented. Members who bring back the completed block are entered into a drawing for a prize.
The Challenge is associated with the Guild's annual quilt show. Members who accept the challenge will create a quilt that meets the criteria for the challenge. All Guild members will judge the completed quilts for prizes. Visit our "Forms" page for additional details and entry forms.
The challenge for 2016 is to make a quilt or wearable that is representative of your birth month. There may be a prize for the most interesting connection.
Our challenge projects will be unveiled at our October guild meeting and favorites selected by our members.
At each meeting, the Sew and Sew Raffle committee presents fabric, books, patterns, and other quilt-related treasures for which members and guests can purchase tickets.
The Guild maintains a library of quilting books for members’ use. Guild members can check out up to three books a month, which are due back at the following guild meeting.
